What support is available if I study part time or by distance learning?
You can apply for a part time grant of up to £500 a year if you are 16 or over, you earn £18,000 or less a year and you are studying at 50% or more of a full time course.
This part time grant has replaced the previous £500 loan. It is paid direct to your institution to help towards the cost of your tuition fees.
The Scottish Government have provided additional funds for part-time students to the college and university Discretionary Funds.
You can also apply for the non income-assessed Disabled Students' Allowance.
